01 / The opportunity
You should not have to be a fan to belong.
A major tournament reaches millions of football fans. Our proposal focuses on the people it may miss: first-time participants, families and communities beyond the stadiums. A friendly, facilitated challenge offers a reason to join in — and a bridge to local organisations that can keep that connection alive.
A welcoming local activity
Schools, community organisations and event hosts invite people to take part — including those who do not already follow football.
One phone. A shared challenge.
A facilitator runs a short movement or ball challenge with JuniCoach. The proposed experience rewards taking part and personal progress, not elite performance.
A connection that continues
Participants discover a relevant local club, community activity or social impact project, with an invitation to return after the event.

Progress every participant can see.
A friendly profile card turns a single activity into something personal: each participant sees their own movement scores and progress, presented in a welcoming way — the same cards families already know from JuniStat, shown here for UK and Ireland as an illustration.
02 / The starting point
Two mobile apps.
One connected system.
JuniStat app serves players and families. JuniCoach app serves schools, with 15+ AI-powered football tests — from simple to complex — using just a smartphone and a tripod. Both mobile apps connect to the same system, where data and results are collected.
For this programme, we propose adapting that foundation into welcoming community activities — shifting the emphasis from talent assessment to participation, confidence and personal progress. These six videos show just a selection of the tests available, not the full range.
Existing apps and testing technology. Proposed community experience and UEFA integration to be developed and validated during a pilot.

One shared data system
Both apps feed into one system. The JuniStat web dashboard brings results together for analysis, insights and development recommendations — not two separate data silos.
03 / Proposed pilot
Local delivery. Shared learning.
Co-design a pilot with UEFA, UK&I 2028 and participating local organisations. Select accessible activities, test them with new audiences and measure whether a first encounter turns into continued involvement.
Built around the existing ecosystem
The proposed digital entry point would sit within UEFA-owned platforms — the EURO 2028 app, website or fan pass — and connect to the UK&I 2028 Community Hub where appropriate. Integration depends on agreed access, technical requirements and partner approval.
Design target: a useful mobile entry point in under one minute, without a separate participant app.
Participation, not a selection trial
Co-design different activity options for age, ability and cultural context, including non-competitive participation. Validate accessibility with local partners rather than assuming one football test fits everyone.
Pilot safeguards would include informed consent, appropriate arrangements for children, data minimisation and anonymised impact reporting. No public rankings of children.
04 / Impact & legacy
Measure more than a moment of engagement.
Reach
First-time participants and representation of audiences not already engaged with football.
Belonging
Optional participant feedback on enjoyment, confidence and feeling welcome.
Connection
Introductions to local organisations and uptake of follow-on activities.
Continuation
Repeat participation and partner-led activities beyond the tournament.
Baseline, targets and evaluation methods would be agreed with pilot partners. The intended legacy is a repeatable community activation format, with delivery guidance and anonymised learnings that can inform future events.
05 / The team
JuniStat. Technology meets the pitch.
Our team brings together IT engineering, data science and football experience, led by FIFA/CIES-certified founders. Gleb Shaportov and Abdel Ait-Kassi combine product development, business development and scouting expertise.
